Day 1: Arrival in Hobart – Exploring the City

      Arrival: Land at Hobart International Airport and meet your guide.

      Activities:

o   Visit the bustling Salamanca Market (if it’s Saturday) or explore the historic Battery Point district.

o   Take a ferry to MONA (Museum of Old and New Art) for an interactive and fun art experience (kid-friendly exhibits included).

o   Evening: Enjoy a casual dinner by the waterfront featuring fresh seafood and family favorites.

      Accommodation: Family-friendly boutique hotel in Hobart.

 

Day 2: Port Arthur and Tasman Peninsula

      Travel: 1.5-hour drive to the Tasman Peninsula.

      Activities:

o   Explore the Port Arthur Historic Site, with interactive exhibits and fun activities for kids to learn about Tasmania’s convict history.

o   Take a short, easy walk to the dramatic Tasman Arch and Devil’s Kitchen rock formations.

o   Join a wildlife cruise to see seals, dolphins, and possibly whales along the stunning coastline.

      Accommodation: Return to your hotel in Hobart.

 

Day 3: Mount Field National Park – Waterfalls and Wildlife

      Travel: 1.5-hour drive to Mount Field National Park.

      Activities:

o   Take an easy hike to Russell Falls, one of Tasmania’s most beautiful waterfalls, perfect for kids of all ages.

o   Explore the Tall Trees Walk, a gentle trail surrounded by towering eucalyptus trees.

o   Picnic lunch in the park, followed by wildlife spotting (look for wombats, echidnas, and pademelons).

o   Return to Hobart with a stop at a local berry farm for fresh treats.

Day 4: Freycinet National Park – Beach and Adventure

      Travel: 3-hour drive to Freycinet National Park.

      Activities:

o   Hike the family-friendly trail to the Wineglass Bay Lookout for breathtaking views (with optional extension down to the beach).

o   Spend the afternoon at Honeymoon Bay, perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and relaxing with the kids.

o   Join a guided kayaking tour (suitable for older kids) to explore the turquoise waters of Coles Bay.

      Accommodation: Family cabin or lodge near Freycinet National Park.

 

Day 5: Bicheno – Wildlife and Relaxation

      Travel: Short drive to Bicheno, a coastal town famous for its wildlife.

      Activities:

o   Visit the East Coast Natureworld, where kids can meet Tasmanian devils, kangaroos, and other native animals.

o   Explore the Bicheno Blowhole, a fun and interactive spot where waves spray water through a natural rock formation.

o   Evening: Take a family-friendly penguin tour to see little penguins return to their burrows at dusk.

Day 6: Cradle Mountain – Adventure and Wilderness

      Travel: 4-hour drive to Cradle Mountain-Lake St. Clair National Park.

o   Walk part of the Dove Lake Circuit, an easy trail offering spectacular views of Cradle Mountain.

o   Stop by the Enchanted Walk, a short boardwalk trail perfect for families, with opportunities to spot wombats and other wildlife.

o   Visit the Devils@Cradle Sanctuary to learn about Tasmanian devil conservation efforts.

Day 7: Launceston – Tamar Valley and Farewell

      Travel: 2-hour drive to Launceston.

      Activities:

o   Explore Cataract Gorge Reserve, where the kids can enjoy the chairlift ride, suspension bridge, and picnic areas.

o   Stop at a Tamar Valley winery for parents while the kids enjoy a fun play area or petting zoo.

o   Visit a nearby lavender farm (seasonal) for a relaxing family experience.

      Departure: Transfer to Launceston Airport for your flight home.
